BlackRock attracted nearly $900 million into its spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) over five trading sessions, pointing to increased institutional demand for digital assets despite ongoing market volatility.
Data for the week ending August 7 shows BlackRockβs spot Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, recorded net inflows of $693.5 million, while its spot Ethereum ETF, ETHA, attracted an additional $203 million.Β
Combined, the two funds brought in $896.5 million, placing BlackRock as the dominant player for the week.Β
The cryptocurrency inflows stand out because they were sustained across most of the week and significantly outpaced many competing issuers, reinforcing BlackRockβs position as the dominant force in the U.S. spot crypto ETF market.
IBIT attracted $111.4 million on August 3, followed by $170.3 million on August 4 and $196.8 million on August 5. The fund added another $128.3 million on August 6 before bringing in $86.7 million on August 7.
Industry-wide data indicates U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $865.4 million in net inflows between August 3 and August 7. This means IBIT alone captured roughly 80% of all new capital entering Bitcoin ETFs during the week.

Meanwhile, Bitwiseβs BITB added approximately $25.9 million. Several smaller issuers also posted modest inflows, while some funds experienced outflows during parts of the week.
Ethereum ETF inflowsΒ
Ethereum ETF flows were smaller in absolute terms but showed notable momentum as the week progressed.
BlackRockβs ETHA began the period with a $9 million outflow on August 3 before reversing sharply. The fund then recorded inflows of $42.5 million, $50.3 million, $81.1 million, and $38.1 million over the following four sessions.
Across the broader market, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs accumulated approximately $243.7 million during the same period. ETHA therefore accounted for more than 83% of all Ethereum ETF inflows, highlighting BlackRockβs growing influence in the segment.

The strong rebound after the opening-day outflow suggests institutional appetite for Ethereum strengthened as the week unfolded, with ETHA emerging as the preferred vehicle for gaining exposure.
The data also reveals a widening concentration of ETF demand. BlackRock captured roughly four out of every five dollars entering both spot Bitcoin and spot Ethereum ETFs during the week, extending a trend that has increasingly defined the U.S. crypto ETF landscape.
The accumulation came as cryptocurrency prices recovered during the week. Bitcoin rose from roughly $63,000 at the start of the period to nearly $65,000 by August 7, while Ethereum advanced from around $1,850 to above $1,900.Β
The simultaneous rise in prices and ETF inflows suggests institutional demand was helping support market momentum rather than merely absorbing selling pressure.
