The XRP Ledger has witnessed a remarkable surge in transaction activity according to recent reports, with daily payment volumes exceeding 1.1 billion XRP. This trend could potentially bolster XRP’s ongoing efforts toward price recovery. September data reflected the payment volume nearing an impressive 1.16 billion XRP.
What Do the Latest Network Data Reveal?
The latest measurement highlights figures more than double the 30-day average of 494.6 million XRP. It wasn’t only the transferred value that surged; transaction counts followed suit. Completed transactions experienced an 11.2% increase, reaching 1.5 million. The total number of transactions on the XRPL dashboard rose by 23.9%, culminating at 2.2 million.
At the same time, there were 757,400 recorded payments. The number of active accounts climbed by 21.5% to reach 18,700, with a 24.1% rise in transactions per ledger. Known for its role in the Ripple ecosystem, the XRP Ledger serves as an open-source blockchain network facilitating payments and asset transfers.
XRP Ledger data reveal a noticeable increase above the monthly payment average, accompanied by a rise in transaction activity.
Contrasting trends appeared, however, as active user numbers dipped by 17.3% to 155,300. This divergence suggests that network activity might stem more from existing participants making larger or more frequent transfers rather than new users joining.
Will Price Barriers Hold for XRP?
Market-wise, XRP remains pressured despite the resurgence in network data. Following an August rally attempting to breach $1.70, the asset faced sharp sell-offs. Currently, XRP trades around $1.32, having recently retreated from $1.42 to test support in the $1.28 to $1.30 range.
The initial upward hurdle is found between $1.34 and $1.36. This zone is notable as both a near-term resistance and as the area where long-term moving averages intersect. Successfully overcoming this could bring $1.40 to $1.45 back into focus.
If the area below $1.28 isn’t maintained, recovery efforts could falter, exposing XRP to sharper corrections.
- The $1.28 level holds critical support importance.
- Secondary support exists between the $1.24 and $1.27 range, against moving averages.
- Losing these supports might heighten technical risks.
Substantial payment volumes reaching the 1.1 to 1.2 billion XRP range coincide with a crucial period. Combined with the intensified transaction flow and efforts for technical recovery, these network statistics reveal a stronger underlying support than mere price action might suggest. Nonetheless, this alone doesn’t ensure a sustained directional shift.
