According to Bitget, Agurre’s appointment aligns with its goal to connect centralized finance (CeFi), decentralized finance (DeFi), and traditional finance (TradFi) under a single umbrella.
New Bitget CMO will bridge CeFi, DeFi, and TradFi
Ignacio Aguirre was a senior at Adobe, SAP, Scorechain, and Xapo Bank, where he led in scaling digital products and improving global marketing positions. According to Bitget’s announcement, Aguirre’s expertise combines technical and creative skills that bridge the gap between engineering and marketing to communicate technologies in accessible ways.

Bitget expands cultural presence through sports, music, and education
The crypto exchange firm is planning to host at least 150 million users across the globe by 2026, to be supported by the expanding trading solutions and connection between TradFi and CeFi systems.

Ignacio Agurre, the new CMO, will oversee marketing for the exchange’s product lines, such as Onchain, GetAgent, and Stock Futures, that form part of the exchange’s plan to connect multiple solutions under the same umbrella. Aguirre will also improve how Bitget communicates its functions and the benefits of complex blockchain products to various audiences.
Bitget was introduced in 2018 and currently serves roughly 120 million users across the globe. The exchange offers access to crypto tokens, tokenized stocks, ETFs, and RWAs. The exchange operates as a centralized exchange and the Bitget Wallet, which is non-custodial, supporting over 130 blockchains. The wallet offers multichain trading, staking, and payments, with direct access to more than 20,000 decentralized apps.
Bitget serves as the Official Crypto Partner of LaLiga across Eastern, Southeast Asian, and Latin American markets. The exchange is also the exclusive crypto exchange partner of MotoGP. The firm has also partnered with UNICEF to support blockchain education for over 1.1 million learners by 2027.
